K12 - Printing Patterns
What’s happening with Printing and K12?
I’m seeing a few printing patterns in the Wisconsin K12 that I wanted to let you know about. As copier printing diminishes and digital innovation increases, districts and schools are trending toward using departmental Multifunction Printers or All-In-One in-room printers. Based on the Wisconsin state contract purchases that hit our desk, the OfficeJet AIO series is worth consideration and popular in the education sector.
Leaders of learning are leveraging the state contract pricing to maximize their overall IT budget not just in the initial cost of purchase, but in the overall maintenance and ongoing expenses. See State of Wisconsin contract 505ENT-M18-PRINTDSK-07.
Given the time constraints of teachers, consider the value of batched print jobs to a shared printer for busy educators:
“Being able to print from a mobile device was definitely handy on a busy day. In one instance, I was scheduled for back-to-back meetings around town. With this function, I was able to print my documents while out and about and collect the prints at home while in transit to another appointment. Cueing up prints remotely allowed the printer to get to work immediately saving me time.”
