With 75% of all students calling themselves gamers, educators are finally getting off the bench as well. We just sat down with our customer, a Director of IT and Esports Coach, and heard about his team’s heroic origin story.

He assured us, “It’s not what you think, life-changing decisions are being made by students because of our esports program.”  His club members are finding a social camaraderie they had not yet attained, through practices, outings, and formal competitions.  And even though his team holds the Rocket League State Champion title, he welcomes more teams into the Wisconsin esports arena. One of his students already secured a scholarship from a shrewd esports recruiter.

As more and more schools start to produce genuine results from implementing competitive gaming, it will be only a matter of time before it becomes standard practice.

Keeping technology on point is an important part of staying competitive, and laying the right technological foundation can be the key to building an eSports program’s momentum. The cornerstone of the setup is the infrastructure that runs the games and connects fans to gameplay: security, data center, connectivity, cloud computing, digital signage and cabling solutions.
